The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) is a limited-time Government program that provides discounts on monthly broadband Internet access and certain connected davices

EBB Program discounts are funded by the US Government’s Coronavirus relief effort in the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 and administered by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Universal Service Administration Company (USAC).

The EBB monthly service and device discounts are non-transferable. Eligible households are limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount.

EBB Program benefits may be obtained from any participating provider of your choice, and your monthly service benefit may be transferred to another provider at any time.

Participating customers will receive up to 20GB of Data as part of the EBB plan. Once the program ends, you will be notified, and your plan will then be reverted to the standard Service Plan offer. You may also choose to keep this 20GB plan but will be subject to the standard rates applicable at the time of program expiration.

This program is subject to FCC approval and you will begin on April 26th, 2021. This is a limited-time offer that is subject to service plan and/or product availability and EBB funding. Only one device discount per household can be applied to participating customers.

This program is separate from the US Government’s or any States lifeline program. Our standard terms and conditions apply.
The Emergency Broadband Benefit monthly service and device discounts are non-transferrable. An eligible household is limited to one monthly service discount per month and one device discount for every qualifying application.

Service offer

The EBB service offer is up to 20GB of Data, This promotional, limited-time, EBB service offer includes data only and is separate from your Lifeline bundle, if applicable.   The EBB plan is free after company discounts and the application of the EBB benefit amount of $50. Unlimited tethering to your existing Lifeline phone device is included. Up to 4G LTE speeds are available.

Expiration date

The EBB program will end after the Public Health Emergency no longer exists, or as deemed by the FCC. Once the program is over, your plan will revert to the standard service offer. You may also choose to keep this EBB plan but will be subject to the standard rates applicable at the time of EBB program expiration. We will notify you when there is a change to the program. Eligibility

The EBB program shares the same qualifying eligibility programs as Lifeline – participation in SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit Fund, and income at or below 135% of the federal poverty level. For a limited-time determined by the FCC, unemployment may qualify you for Lifeline and the EBB program.. Additional eligibility programs are unique to EBB and do not qualify for Lifeline. These include Pell Grants, Free and Reduced Price School Lunch and Breakfast, as well as reduced wages in certain instances. Program eligibility will be determined for the FCC by Universal Service Administrative Company’s National Verifier and National Lifeline Accountability Database, or an alternative verification process approved by the FCC.
